Story behind the song
Song is a composite of 3 or 4 people I've met absolutely consumed by hate. Enslaved by it. I wrote the song rather quickly and did a quick Cellphone demo for Dave.
Dave Rosky played his 1966 Gibson ES 335 panned left playing through a POD XT and a Fender Twin Reverb amp and Jeff played a Blonde Zolla Tele on the right through POD X3 (Vox AC15). Both guitars are stereo though panned. Dave played a catchy lead through a Gibson Melody maker with upgraded pickups. Bass is Jeff's G&L Bass through a POD X3.
Lyrics
1, Your hatred has shrunk you down
And your mind has atrophied
Lowering yourself every time you cut them down
Those that you consider born beneath
Wish I could say otherwise
But youre a tiny little man
Every little joke and dig
Proves that youre not big
2, You like to think youre moving up
Pushing everybody down the ladder
But the truth is your a broken defense
You are the only one that doesnt matter
3. I hate to call you out when
You say its a matter of honor
But its unlike any honor Ive ever seen
And theres no honor amongst thieves
4. Hatred that dates back before 1863
Before Sherman took a march towards the sea
You need to emancipate yourself
3 million slaves now its time for you
