Story behind the song
A reflection on Brexit written last year, but perhaps all the more relevant now we've another election here in Britland. In Thomas Jefferson's prophetic words, 51% really did take away the rights of the other 49, but this time the political elite all found themselves on the losing side. Hard luck, you may say, but the problem is they were then put in a position of having to enact a plan that none of them believed in. So one by one they became disillusioned and left the stage, leaving people in charge who didn't know what to do. We descend into chaos.
