Trash-pop, guitar rock and melodic miscellany.
Not so much a band as a bloke with a guitar and a laptop, The Smivets deliver a genre-bending blend of pop, rock, punk, prog and many other monosyllables.

Very well written and performed. Feelin' this from start to finish. Really reaches out to our inner self and our soul. You really should try and get this one published, there are numerous artists that would want to cover this.

A powerful vocal performance. I really felt each word in your lyrics. Top notch harmony. Really enjoyed listening to this creative song. Excellent job for the challenge.

Another nail in my heart! This one hits you hard with those honest, in-your-face lyrics, it hurts so beautifully. Your voice never sounded better (and it always was top class). This one goes to the top of the songs for this challenge, in my book. Don't ever stop writing, producing and performing stuff like this. You really nailed what music is all about!

Great songwriting! Your performance and singing still seem to be in fine form as well. Diggin' the organ tones a lot. Sell this one to Gordon Sumner or let him add his "Sting" and collect the royallties. ;)

Beautifully sung and produced Steve. Nice piano and cool synth/strings/organ work. Yeah, it's powerful and very good. Love the tension building at 4:49 and your signature release at 5:46. I've said it before but you have a really nice voice. Like the ending. Awesome opus Steve!

Robert Wyatt or Elvis Costello comes to mind for influences. But this is a Smivet tune back to back. Wonderfully emotive and great song writing.

"Another nail through my heart." Sad, touching and beautiful at the same time, with very good lyrics (you're a great song writer), a clear structure and a perfect play and mix.
Really enjoyed this one. Think it's the most complex one of this Waltz Challenge.
