New Song and Video "Listen to the Girl" a lesson for younger people. The best way to get to know someone is FACE to FACE. The Human Way.
The Stray Dawgs are from Plantation, Florida. Lew Dawg Cloninger is the founding member and plays guitars and sings (many people refer to it as hollering). Founding member Steve Sallaz plays bass, sings and also does most of the mixing and mastering of our recordings. He also plays a variety of percussion instruments. We have many other musician friends that help us out at live shows as well as recording. Huge thanks go out to Susan Ivory Blue who has played piano and organ on many of our recordings and gigs. Also special thanks to Lew Knapper for his help with Texas blues harp on many of our songs.

Story behind the song
It is common knowledge that a lot of people would never have sex or even a good time if it were not for alcohol. This song just points out the "lighten up" aspects of drinking.
Lyrics
Chorus: Alcohol makes reality so much better, like the girl at the end of the bar in the low cut sweater. She don't look that good, but if she wants to, you know you'll let her, cause alcohol makes reality so much better. V1 Each night before I sleep, I watch the news and there's things in this old world that'll give you the blues. But with another round, the story's not that bad. Cause there's folks out there with troubles that you ain't had. V2 They say the market works for them at the top. For the middle and the bottom the economy is stuck on stop. A retirement plan is a ship that's hard to steer. But one thing's easy, let's have another beer. Cause; Chorus: Bridge: When lookin through beer goggles, it's hard to see the light. You'll be hurtin in the morin but tonight you feel just right. V3 When I visit with my friend's Bud and Miller or mi amigo Tequila Patron, they're all good fellas. In the mornin there'll be hell to pay, but tonight you can have it your way and when the sun comes up you'll be layin there next to Stella. Cause: Chorus:
