Stylistically, this ones a bit like Queen, kind of like The Beatles circa 68. A multi-part song inspired by the victims of the Paris massacre.

Story behind the song
The chorus was inspired by a tune I heard one time on a French radio station decades ago; I think it went (phonetically), “Hey, Mon-ta-lay-mon.” Something like that. I have never been able to track that song down again, but I don’t believe it’s very similar to my own chorus. I was actually aiming for the ragged singalong quality of the Beatles’ “Bungalow Bill,” but, of course, my song has a very different melody.

HEY, ABSOLUTAMENTE!

Hey, absolutamente
Draw away, absolutamente
Hey, absolutamente
Unafraid, absolutamente
Sing on, sing on
I’ll draw some deities, they look just like you and me
All this insanity
‘bout paper and ink
Don’t burn down my art
Don’t burn down my art
Hey, absolutamente
Draw away, absolutamente
Hey, absolutamente
Unafraid, absolutamente
Sing on, sing on
Draw me a picture of the saints and prophets
They ain’t no non-profits
Money’s the game
Saints they ain’t
Draw me a picture of the saints and prophets
They ain’t no non-profits
Draw me a picture of homefires burning
A billion candles mourning
No darkness in sight
Don’t burn down my art
Don’t burn down my art
