Story behind the song
In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" ranked "Wichita Lineman" at #192. It has been referred to as "the first existential country song" British music journalist Stuart Maconie called it "the greatest pop song ever composed"; and the BBC referred to it as "one of those rare songs that seems somehow to exist in a world of its own not just timeless but ultimately outside of modern music".

I like what I hear alot! Me too start thinkin of Willi Nelson hearing your voice Rod. So crisp and clear and and the fantastic voicing from Bob! And the very very cool guitarwork - love it. Even the nostalgic feel is kept due to great mastering. And yeah - how about a cover of Willi Nelson Rod?

Kind of a Willie Nelson vibe for me. You should give Willie's version of "Georgia on My Mind" a shot. Very nice vocals and some very neat guitar work. Nice version of a great song Rod & Bob - very cool!

Rod -This is a very attractive track. Your vocal performance has that special spark that makes it stand out and the arrangement and production is flawless. Bob’s backing vocals are equally exceptional…nice blend of harmonies throughout. Wonderful guitar solo (superb uni-vibe fx) sound). Like you said in your comments to me, this is a huge addition to your collection of classic cover arrangements! Wonderful collaboration from two talented musicians. Nice way to start off the new (musical) year.

Hi Rod! I had first to check the original song ( shame on me ) I didn´t hear yet....... : Great rendition of the Jmmy Webb´s classic my friends Rod&Bob!! I loved the sound of the acoustic guitar from the begin on, Rod´s main vocals so distinctive and flawless. Fantastic arrangement, the background vocals exactely mixed and with that distinctive Redeyec´s sound! The reverb level used in this song gives a particular "vintage" sound. So nice guitar lead part to complement this amazing work. You both delivered a sofisticated Cover, my compliments to both of you! :)
