Story behind the song
Composed on the eve of our departure to my wife's distant island homeland, which she left 52 years ago as a child but misses every day she's not there. UPDATE: My wife passed away a few months after recording this song. Consequently, the lyrics have new meaning now, as I pack her remains for one last trip home.
