Story behind the song
Little Elsie was my friend and neighbour, who died recently at the age of 102. She was a lovely lady, kind and with a great sense of humour! This is another piece from The Simplicity Suite, a collection of seven short instrumentals in "classical" style, using quite simple guitar techniques. The idea was to make them easy enough for beginners or near-beginners, but with the hope that they would be interesting enough to tempt more practised players. Free tab for these pieces is available on the Travelling Records website, they are jpg files so just right-click on them and save, you can re-size them to your taste and print them out.
