A wonderful blend of smooth jazz, funk, dance and world music centralized through the piano, acoustic guitar and the occasional synth lead..
ALL of the compositions you hear here start with one simple truth - without God, I could do nothing but because of HIM, all this is possible! Each and every effort is a serenade to Him, as I owe Him every song. Over the years, I've learned new things about song composition and have always been willing to push the boundaries of sound. I was trained as a musician and recording engineer as a child, learning to put together melodies when I was only 7 years old. This was at the height of jazz fusion where lead instrumental improvisation was king. Although I was trained early on to read and write sheet music, this improvisation has shaped my writing. Now, I write from my heart. The songs represented here are the culmination of my ventures. Each new song is a lesson in itself as I am a never ending student of music, sound and the new and emerging recording processes. As you listen, keep in mind these are my intimate conversations with God. My conversations are sometimes upbeat, sometimes somber, but never boring. In all, I share these songs so that you may enjoy the music.

Story behind the song
I wanted to do a song that's blending all the different genres I've been experimenting in together. The title suggests that some things are temporary where as there are things that we will "forever" hold on to. Can you tell by the song WHEN I let go?

Wow, I like that heavy guitar at the start and that funky rhythm. It's really chilly and there are a lot of changes. That acoustic guitar, for example, in the last part. Good job!

Yeah right away I was surprised by the electric guitar! I notice how you use crashed to really nice effect, I think I am going to steal this idea from you in the future. Your sounds always go together really well. Your songs sound pro man, no other word for it. Thanks again for answering my question and all in the past, really appreciate the help you give me!

Great, great tune, and the sound quality is superb. This one especially strikes me because of the guitar work -- great, great stuff!

Love this piece Arlen. I'm really feeling the distorted guitar and the funky rythmn you've created here. I also like the synth sound you've incorporated. The lead screaming guitar really got my attention. Like others mentioned, I really enjoyed all of the changes. So much going on, but it all fits perfectly. Truly a show in mastery!

Cool heavy-guitar intro! The tight groove and main theme with organ-flares and mechanical 'wharewulves' in the back is awesome! Smooth laid back sampled guitar in lead. Well done my friend!

Raw and funky. Great distorted guitar riff opening that leads to your amazing lead guitar play. Man, I love that percussive organ in the chorus segments. This certainly has that funky edge to it that makes it so attention-grabbing. (Impeccable synth solo. Oooh yeah, I like it a lot) Also, like the different musical changes here to dude. Many goodies in this one…
