Lyrics
Our Time By The Sea Well I'm inland now and far away from the ocean But this challenge sure has sparked my memories And if I close my eyes at least just for a moment I can go back to our days out by the sea Holding hands and skipping stones Days were hot the nights were cold The sound of waves against the coast That was a long long time ago, you know I can remember Galveston Isle' The sun in her hair....,her face with a smile Picking up seashells on the shore Wait here's another and there's one more Watching the seagulls in the air Catching some rays without a care Watching the ships sail out to sea Such a special place for me, you know Holding hands and skipping stones The days were hot the nights were cold Sound of waves against the coast You can just feel the ocean breeze blow Picking up seashells on the shore Look a sanddollar, rare for sure The sand in her hair The smile on her face It has to be my favorite place Watching the ships sail out to sea The salt in the air ....the sand at my feet Catching some rays without a care I hope to make it back there, some day copyright 2011 Danny Horton

I am in awe Danny. This is such a beautiful, haunting melody with such whistful and powerful lyrics. If this song doesn't win you some serious awards then there's something seriously wrong.

A lovely song Danny. You painted the picture exceptionally well with your lyrics. A wonderful melody with great lead vocals. You have a clear, emotional and individual style vocally, I like lyrics to be easier heard and understood and you achieved this. Lovely the backing vocals too. Great production too!!

I love acoustic guitar the best of all, so I'm partial to this, I really love the vulnerable side of your voice Danny, soulful melody and words, backed with some nice guitar and sweet sounding harmony. It was a long long time ago the last time I was at a beach too....i'm stuck in the midwest....but your song paints a real picture in my mind of memories at the beach....used to love to hunt for shells as well.....really great job Danny ;)

Another hit Danny - you always have that special knack of writing something that goes straight to the soul. Beautiful melody, superb vocals and wonderful lyrics. You really should approach some publishers with your work.

Such a well crafted song based on real life...the best source of lyrics. This is an exceptionally nice tune, lyrics that tell a story, and emotional vocals. Great job!
