Lyrics
All my field's have dried up, my crops are blowing in the wind That summer sun is burning, 110 in the shade Then you put your arms around me, squeezed me real tight Whispered in my ear it will be alright For all that you've lost, baby you've still got me Let your love rain down in my life Let your love rain down in my heart Fill me with your love, flood my soul in every way Tried to go to town on Sunday, Pastor said he'd pray for rain But that ole truck overheated, our neighbor stopped and gave us a ride You knew my heart was heavy, I was soaking with sweat We'll go get that truck when the sun goes down For all that you've lost, baby you've still got me.

Joe...this song is beautiful. Greatly written, sang and the music is so magnificent, as well. You have a "reality style", meaning you write about life as you know it. that is tremendous, and your vocals fabulous!!!!! Thank you ever so much for your kind message and rating of my duet with Kurt!!!! I am honored. have a lovely day!!!!!!!!!! Countess Lekzee

Best song I have heard all week! A very professional recording with everything in the right place, top marks Joe!
Your vocal is so wonderful, Joe, on this great song. And the lyrics bespeak of the wamth of love always found in our historic American South. In addition to your outstanding voice, the song's backing instruments are also superb. Just the right mix/tone/feel for a soft Southern Rock song - and the CBC Song Challenge. Thank you for this song, and the download for our JBBQ Music Player on SoundClick. Bob (and the JBBQ "Guys")

Fine composition with superb vocals, specially the doubled voice at chorus. Great job with instrumentals where guitar is always boosting southern style riffs. Enjoyable listen all the way.

Brilliant writing Joe! wonderful lyrics and a very strong hook. Just love the vocals and arrangement too!You did a heck of a job keeping both the sound and the "spirit" of this southern rock, just fabulous my friend. I'm always blown away with the songs that come out of Jude's challenges and the quality of people that participate :) Amazing job!

Joe, this is what it's all about. A stellar tune, with a pure, classic feel. Powerful and heartwarming. Yes, reminiscent of some of my favorites from The Band. Your vocals ooze sincerity and are absolutely perfect, just love what you've done here.
