Welcome to the music of Mark Wilson. I write songs, play bass, sing, and lately... play a little fingerstyle guitar. I am also in the learning process of recording some of my songs (old and new). Hope to have some fun and create some worthwhile recordings. Best of all... "I'm gonna get by with a little help from my friends.'' So... just getting started here... more to come. A special thanks to Mike Shelton for lending his talent to this effort. His leadwork on dobro and guitar is featured on 'Take Me Back', and 'One More Reason'. Oh and one other thing. I don't have the time or intention to make this come out perfect. Hopefully, it's good enough to reward your time listening. Thanks, Mark Wilson K-Vegas, NC

Story behind the song
Someone once suggested that it might be a challenge to write a 2:00 minute song. They beat me to it but here's my offering.
Lyrics
I’ve been waiting for the end to come It’s something that You said I’ve been watching for the sky to fall A river turning red I don’t want to be in a world without you And when my time is thru I’ll need someone true To hold on to I’ve been up again since 2 am Sleep won’t come tonite I’ve been thinking about the things I've said And something don’t seem right I don’t want to be in a world without you And when my time is thru I’ll need someone true To hold on too Its bad english but only for two minutes...

I love this song! My only input is that it needs to be longer than two minutes in length. Great vocals, nice guitar and cool lyrics. Excellent!

Mmmm, that was well done Mark. Well written and played, but the time signature (both musically and vocally) really stood out to me, and made this memorable. And nice backing vocals as well.
