Gospel/Christian Bible-based songs
Music has always been a special joy to me. While still a child I enjoyed classical guitar and piano lessons. While growing up I had opportunity to play for our church youth group. More recently I have begun to write songs. They vary widely in style and are not confined to any one genre. My goal is to please the One who is the song-giver; to honour Him in all I write and play. It is my sincere desire that the Lord uses the music I write to draw people closer to Himself. Wherever you are at in relationship to God, may this music touch your heart and be a blessing to you.

Lyrics
For Me Based on 1 John 3 CCLI Song No. 4584823 Keys: C, D Chorus For me! for me! Jesus died for me! For me! for me! Jesus died for me! His love is far greater Than any before known to man. Beyond comprehension, No one can fully understand. What a wonderful mystery; Jesus died for me! Verse 1 I was so discouraged, No good could I see. Almost ready to give up, I thought, “There is no hope for me.” But God was here, He never left. At the time I did not know That He was watching over me; His faithful love to show. Repeat chorus Verse 2 Life still sometimes is difficult; Troubles and trials come. But Jesus is here with me; He has the victory won. Because Jesus loves me I can face this day, Knowing that He’s all I need And that He will always stay. Repeat chorus Verse 3 Are you feeling discouraged, Hopeless, tired and glum? Please do not give up; You’re not the only one. You see, Jesus is there waiting; You need not be alone. Jesus died for even you; Accept the love He’s shown. Bridge On our own, we are weak But God is mighty and He’s strong He will help if you but ask. Then you can join in this song: Repeat chorus INDNJC ©2005 Connie R. Smith
