Story behind the song
I firmly believe that according to the Word of God, we are living in the "last day" times. Everything that the Bible says must happen before the end, is now happening all over the world. Some call the Bible a book of stories and fantasy; I call it the Word of God. How could fantasy have prophesied so clearly thousands of years ago exactly what is happening today? I'm not a preacher and definitely not a saint, just a sinner like everyone else; but I've been saved by the sacrificial blood of Christ. I'll never be so good that I'm "ready" to go, but that's what the blood of Christ is all about; He's paid the debt for our sin. You too CAN be ready to go if you'll only acknowledge and accept the shed blood of Jesus. You don't need to change ANYTHING before you do it; just tell Him you believe it and accept it, and He'll do the rest! Now how GOOD is that!!!
Lyrics
Last Day Times ©2010 Duane Rod What’s going on, what’s happening Disaster and chaos seem the common thing What’s the answer, the question’s on your mind Some people say it’s the last day times 2000 years ago in Matthew 24 It was described what to look for Wars and famine and moral decline By these you’ll know it’s the last day times Chorus Wake up sleeper, open your eyes And see the truth before you die It’s all coming down and falling in line We’re living in the last day times The devil will try to suck you into the lie (he’ll say) Don’t worry, no need to hurry But think about Noah, how they laughed at him And God shut the ark, and the rains began
