Story behind the song
Urethane was written by all members of the band. The Jam session was actually recorded, and a 12 minute long jam of "the untiteld song" turned into 4 minutes and 20 seconds of Chill rock to all around Chaos. Half the words were changed as we played the song live. Screaming wasn't even a thought until the first time we played it live when Jeff let out a mind aching scream and we loved it.
Lyrics
Load one round in the chamber, lock it in with anger Point this barrel straight to my head, will you still feel me when I'm dead? Take the best me (the rest is gone) In the end you will know you're wrong Take the best of me (the rest is gone) You wont feel this way for long Forget every word I've said, that part of me has long been dead In the end you will know you're wrong In the end you will know you're wrong Take the best me (the rest is gone) You wont feel this way for long Take the best of me (the rest is gone) In the end you will know you're wrong Take the best me (the rest is gone) In the end you will know you're wrong Take the best of me (the rest is gone) You wont feel this way for long The day I come to you, with no scars on my face, with no stories to tell, everything falls apart, everything goes to hell, how did this start in the first place, how did this start in the first place, no stories to tell, everything goes to hell, you won't see my face for long, now I'm opened up, now I'm opened up, so take the best of me... Take the Best of Me, Of Me Take the best me (the rest is gone) You won't be feeling this way for long Take the best of me (the rest is gone) In the end you will know you're wrong
