Westbrook is a creative rock band from Rochester, New York. The complete line up was formed in April 2003. Westbrook's original members of the band were Alex Bouknight and Matt Battle. Since both Matt and Alex were capable of playing Drums, Guitar, and Bass, they decided they would get things started on there own with out an official bass player. They wrote many songs, and a few which will be featured on Westbrook's debut CD.
Jeff Madison was introduced to the band about a year after Alex and Matt had been jamming and writing songs together. This allowed the guys to pursue and play the songs they had written in the past. At that time the band was thought to be complete, and the name "westbrook" had taken place.
It wasn't until they played there first show with the new line up, that they would meet Grant Sharman. The band was amazed with his talent and creativity and knew that he would fit great for the formula of Westbrook's music. About a week later, Grant joined the band and helped to add to the unique style of Westbrook. Once the band line up was finally finished, they were able to expirement with many more styles of music and slowly developed a unique sound. Westbrook's diverse influences help to separate them from many local bands in rochester.
