Story behind the song
It was the eve of my 7th year aging, in 1980. We'd come back from my grandmothers Christmas family gathering. It was late evening and the Franklin wood stove was burning well. I’ll never forget that smell. I was laying on the livingroom floor of my mothers delapitated trailer. By myself playing with my lego castles, I then put on Rush’s, All the Worlds a Stage live album and imagined to the words, "the guillotine has claimed its bloody prize"! While the yellow Lego-mans head rolled across the courtyard I thought. Finally!! Someone gets me! It was at that moment I first remember becoming a Rush fan. I’d come home from school and listen while playing legos often. Some 30+ish years later and I'm still listening to Rush daily and learning to love Legos all over again, with my son and grandson. So Roll the Bones!
