I've always like this song. I bought the 'single' at the time. It was the band's last vain assault of the UK pop charts. Needless to say it got next to no airplay. A pity, as it's a great pop song with lots of interesting guitar parts. It begins with an Ebm to Db vamp. Chorus is F# / C#. playing a guitar solo in Eb and imitating an Eastern pentatonic scale isn't intuitive..but I got there. I used my Yamaha Pacifica 612V set on the Neck/Middle position to mimic the sound of the Fender Stratocaster of the original recording. so yes...like the lyric says... "playing 'modern music' on my Japanese guitars"
