more like a classical piece than a rock piece. Lots of changes and mood swings.

Wigan band. Experimental guitars and fast drum beats with deep bass lines. Alt rock. Post Rock. Post Punk.
The Beat Poet is 3 piece band. Very pretentious music but we are very sincere about it. We strive to be self contained as a band. We do all our own recordings and we are proud of this fact. The band consists of brothers, Ben and Tom Wolland, and fellow Wiganer, Rob Fairhurst. We do not stick to set instruments, instead choosing to swap around between guitar, bass, drum, keyboard and vocal duties.

Story behind the song
This song is again inspired by the iraqi war. It is pretty an ideological mess. It has no cohereant story to it. The first bit is about prejudice and how subtle the human mind forms it. The next part is about the absolute lack of sympathy people seemed to have when it came to the iraqi war. People just not realising that as a result of their governments decision actual human beings were being killed. The next part is about how i personally need to have more patience when it comes to wanting to see a change in society because im not so perfect anyway. The last bit is just a shout out to all the meglomaniacs in the world.
Lyrics
Spaced into two, divided by the four. Your subtle mind tells us apart. I wish you'd let it go, so we can get back to the fundamentals. Your not believeing, you've not been listening. People grieving its not that easy, sympathy was all that was needed from you. I forget how yough it was getting passed myself, ive not been patient. Too angry and caught up in my expectations. All that was needed was a little though from you, outside of yourself. Because this world is not only about you.
