Story behind the song
A song from early years. A young man trires to be wise... The lyrics are not bad i think, but what has really kept it up to date for me is the guitar work - I still love playing it, and its always a challenge to whistle the second harmony at the end of the song, while playing the first on the guitar.
Lyrics
I used to think "Well this is where I am and I need some-one to help me further" Some-one who'd look at me and say to me "I'll tell you what - you are the one I need" And there would always be a way out of situations I couldn't handle myself And I was so pleased to know it couldn't be better than that There was a place for me, I filled a gap and I knew I was appreciated There was nothing left for me to wish at least as far as I could estimate it There would always be a way out of situations I couldn't handle myself And I was so pleased to know it couldn't be better than that But then one day I had to face the fact: I was alone, no-one would help me further No-one ever seemed to notice me or be aware I was the they needed And I just could find no way out of situations I couldn't handle myself I was terrified to see it wouldn't be better than that So there I was just looking at myself then saying "What am I supposed to do now?" But with no answers coming down upon me my life seemed to be one big question: What do you do about situations you cannot handle yourself? But the empty night replied: It wouldn't be better than that And now your asking for my final point to tell you all "Well, what did you do about it?" I am afraid I have to disappoint you you see, just nothing was done about it I got so used to looking at situations I couldn't handle myself And I got so used to knowing Yes I got so used to knowing It wouldn't be better than that.

I absolutely loved this!! I really like the upbeat catchy tune. The lyrics is great, your voice awesome and the guitar work in this is simply amazing!! Wish I could see you playing this one on video. hehehe I had fun playing some of your chord progressions on the piano here at home. I like the cute whistling at the end which gave it a nice variety. You started off whistling in lead and then harmony which really surprised me but very nice indeed....

Love the rhythm of the guitar as well as the melody. And the whistling at the end added a wonderful unexpected touch. Wonderful song and, of course, a station add!! :)
