Story behind the song
Originally recorded for the "FREETHINKER" album, it did'nt make the cut because it kind of did'nt fit the genre or the concept of the album. Volume one is basically the yin of the yin yang mold(light,positive,optimistic). The song is basically dark,sensitive & unforgiving (yang) and was inspired by a news story about a women in the midwest who was abused and raped over a number of years not only by her father, but later, her own husband. I was also inspired to write/ adapt it from a poem I wrote (called snapped) after seeing the movie, MONSTER. In both cases, the women turned the tables on their abusers; yeah, basically they killed them!
I actually plan to revisit that poem, with a newer beat, on my next project, "When darkness fall" (FREETHINKER: VOLUME 2). The whole album will be more darker and serious - don't expect any happy songs this time around.
