Haunting slow siren call of a melody on the violin over harp, then the orchestra comes in, quietly at first, then with a mighty fanfare depicting the vast frozen enchanted expanse of a massive frozen mountain lake in winter.

Story behind the song
When i wrote the melody, it reminded me of the music from "Star Trek" (next generation). Once I started arranging it, I thought of calling it "Siren Song" since it had such a haunting, distant, seductive melody. Finally, "Ice Lake" because the music reminded me of a most beautiful hike I took in Colorado in the Durango area with a most lovely woman. The hike was to "Ice Lake". Since this was during summer, there was no ice!
