Ice Lake
Haunting slow siren call of a melody on the violin over harp, then the orchestra comes in, quietly at first, then with a mighty fanfare depicting the vast frozen enchanted expanse of a massive frozen mountain lake in winter.
Out of the Darkness
Classical in style and structure, soaring romance in the violin melody, this song is a passionate credo to spiritual release and freedom.
The Irresistable Violin, Candlelight, and Love... For the Romantic You..... Following years as a professional classical violinist, Gary Schnitzer has created his own style and arranges full instrumental pieces into a smooth fusion of classical, swing, jazz and romantic pop music. This is romantic violin music for people who don't like violin music. His CD recordings are expressive performances of both familiar and original melodies. This classic and contemporary music ranges from love songs and lullabies to spiritual music and holiday tunes, all featuring Gary's passionate violin performances. These CD's are a delight to the eye as well as the ear, and make endearing gifts for all occasions. We have just released in February 2006 our latest CD, "Melodia", which is Gary's first recording of his own original music. This is a recording of richly expressive instrumental music with a compelling symphonic sound. Gary's passionate violin solos soar above and sometimes below the harmonies and rhythms. "Melodia" was a first round Contender in the 2006 Grammy competition in three categories. This is an inspirational, light classical CD. The sounds from this CD will nurture the soul of your unborn or newborn baby. Romance your Wedding with Violin Music. We have an Elegant Wedding Music CD! Enthrall that bride-to-be with an inspirational and thoughtful engagement gift. And, yes, it includes that luscious classic, "Canon in D" by Pachelbel.
Band/artist history
After many years as a symphony violinist, Gary branched out to form his own ensemble of musicians to perform live at a variety of social and business events. Within a short time he decided to not only play, but also record with the musicians he most enjoyed all world class performers. Now a producer, performer and recording artist of multiple CDs, Gary has created his own style, which is a synthesis of classical, swing, jazz, and romantic pop music. He arranges full instrumental pieces with strings, piano, guitar, French horns, oboe, and of course, his own solo violin work. His recordings with ensembles are instrumentals of classic and popular, often sentimental melodies. Most have been recorded live in the studio resulting in an engaging, lush sound of concert hall quality. Each performance, whether a romantic wedding song, a holiday classic or a contemporary favorite is crisp and perfected. Gary has been Concertmaster (first chair violinist) with the internationally acclaimed Mantovani Orchestra, and a titled member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in New York. In his native Dallas area, he was Concertmaster of the Richardson Symphony, and also a member of the Fort Worth Symphony and the Dallas Chamber Orchestra. Gary has also performed in back up orchestras for such celebrated singers as Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, Tony Bennett, Perry Como, Roberta Flack, Chuck Mangione, Toni Tennille, and others. He was trained as a classical musician, holds a Master’s degree from Yale School of Music, and has spent most of his professional life as a classical violinist and symphony player. Gary's latest CD, "Melodia", is all original music. Sort of a cross between Classical Crossover and Movie Music, with the violin soaring above and below a symphonic pallette.
