After the melancholic nature of Mid November I figured it was time to upload something with a little more hope in it. Wrote this with my old friend Rob Cottrell. Hope you're still writing my friend.
Rob wrote these lyrics and approached me about putting them to music. So I did. A song of hope.
The Road of Life that you travel on
Seems so difficult seems so long
Roadblocks and detours get in your way
It's hard getting around them
With each passing day
The road of life that we travel on
The road of life finding strength in a song
The road of life that we travel on
The road of life finding the strength to go on
It seems like your life is just passing you by
Your heart is so broken
You just wanna cry
Just up ahead up around the bend
You've come to the crossroads
Put the past to an end
The road of life that we travel on
The road of life finding strength in a song
The road of life that we travel on
The road of life finding the strength to go on
Pick up the pieces one piece at a time
And everything else will fall into line
Work through the struggles
Don't give up the fight
Each day gets brighter
On the road of life
The road of life that we travel on
The road of life finding strength in a song
The road of life that we travel on
The road of life finding the strength to go on
The road of life that we travel on
We're here one day and the next we're gone
