Hobbyist singer/songwriter/guitarist who's been quiet for 10 years. Decided to get the songs out there now. Had dreams of the big time, but know it isn't going to happen now and that's okay. I still love music, writing and recording and want to share my work with people.
Been playing guitar as long as I remember. Think I was 6 when I started. Was shy about singing until my teens but now love to do it, and actually enjoy singing more than playing.
Many times. Hundreds of club gigs in the 90's/early 2000's. Never made any money at it but so it goes. Biggest gig ever was 2000 Festival of Nations, opening for major recording artist Michelle Wright who was huge at the time. In Canada anyway. 5000 in attendance.
Bruce Cockburn, Joni Mitchell, Ian Thomas, Van Morrison, America, CSN(Y), Colin Hay, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Chris Rea, Brian Wilson, David Gilmour.
Still using very old version of Cubase on a very old PC and am slowly but surely learning Logic Pro X on my iMac. Guitar wise, Fender DG-31SCE acoustic, Partscaster Strat, Lyx Pro Telecaster, Yamaha PSR-225 keyboard, Tascam TM-80 Condenser, Apex 435 Condenser, AKG c1000s Condenser, Tascam US 2X2 interface, Isotope Spire portable 8 track.
It's a new decade. Let's hope it gets better, and that live music will once again someday be something that is actually done in front of an audience not just a camera sending out a live stream. It's not the same and never will be. Not saying I do not accept it, but I do not have to like it. Maybe we will be able to go to concerts in 2022? Lets hope!
