It's official. The Smivets Lost the Plot.
Here's one for the Clickers Club Mad Hatters player.
From the 2018 album of the same name, I thought this would fit the bill.
Voice hadn't quite recovered when this was recorded, which sort of suited the song.
They say I look at life with
Rose-tinted contact lenses in my eyes.
I like to keep my expectations low
So any luck I get makes a nice surprise.
I guess your greatest fear's
That it won't all end in
Penitential tears.
I'll let the hazard hap,
Content with what lands in my lap
'Cause I've
No money, no plan,
Surviving each day the best I can
But if you think that I'm sad,
Well I'm not.
But I think someone lost the plot.
You say I listen to you
As if I have my fingers in my ears.
I'd like to point out that's what's
Been keeping me out of trouble all these years.
I guess that works for me:
I'm happy, anchorless,
And worry free.
Glad to be alive
I'll leave the busy bees the hive
'Cause I've
No money, no plan,
Surviving each day the best I can
But if you think that I'm sad,
Well I'm not.
But I think that someone lost the plot.
And I hate it when they say
Come on have a go if you think you're hard enough.
They know that I'm just not
So what's the point in all that
Dumb chest-beating stuff?
If that's what it's about
I'll let the tough guys strut
And tough it out.
Take what you think's best,
I'll sit back and take what's left (woohoo)
No money, no plan,
Surviving each day the best I can
But if you think that makes me sad,
It does not.
But I think someone lost the plot.
