The Rough Stock Band is a high energy contemporary country band that began out of the small town of Southern Idaho, and today contains some of the best musicians from all around the northwest. The band changes quite often, as people come and go, but has been under the direction of Harry Sherman for the 18 years that it has been around. The band is pretty much about giving new talent the chance to be heard live, and this year the band will have the privelage of recording with new talent Matt Kindle from Tyler Texas. Of course, any time you buy a Rough Stock cd, you will find that they all sound very different, but hopefully for the better!

Story behind the song
well, this was just the product of not having written for a long time. Both Chris and Matt are considered among peers to be excellent songwriters and this is what happens when you've had all that inspiration locked up for a long time. This was a melody-first song, but the lyrics came into the song very easily. "This is perhaps one of the few songs we have written where I feel that the lyrics and the music fit snugly with each other", says Chris.
