Man, we studied our butts off to write this one! I've never listened to so much "gospel" music in my life! The results were astonishing!

Country-Pop

The Rough Stock Band is a high energy contemporary country band that began out of the small town of Southern Idaho, and today contains some of the best musicians from all around the northwest. The band changes quite often, as people come and go, but has been under the direction of Harry Sherman for the 18 years that it has been around. The band is pretty much about giving new talent the chance to be heard live, and this year the band will have the privelage of recording with new talent Matt Kindle from Tyler Texas. Of course, any time you buy a Rough Stock cd, you will find that they all sound very different, but hopefully for the better!
Band/artist history
Basically, the band has been around for almost two decades, but the band membership is constantly changing. Currently the band consists of two Texas boys, Matt Kindle (vocals) and Chris Dupuis (drums, and the person doing this bio), as well as the manager, Harry Sherman from Malad, Idaho, and the rest of the band is from Utah.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, we do rodeos, fairs, demolition derbies, etc. all through the Idaho-Utah area. The band travels outside this area sometimes, but since it costs an exceptionally larger amount of money for travel, we tend to stay on our "main drag". Check the schedule (www.rstockband.com/calendar.htm) to see where we're going this year.
Your musical influences
Personally, I hear a lot of Rascal Flatts and a little Brad Paisley in the band's sound.
What equipment do you use?
haha, even in country, we use synthsizers. We use an old Roland keyboard, and an Alesis QS.
