Hey what's up everybody, I just want to welcome everyone on my page and hopefully you guys will enjoy my music. All your love and support has truly been appreciated. With that being said, I would like to take this time out and let you guys know something about me.Band/artist history
To start things off, my name is Sherbie also known as Soul Symplicity. I am an 18 year old young woman soon to be 19 next month on August 28, 1988. I was born in the beautiful islands of the Philippines in a city called Calbayog, Western Samar. I found the love and passion for music when I was about 5 years old when I heard my mother sing and ever since then I knew I wanted to do the same as what my mother had done. I started performing when I was in kindergarten where I had joined all the shows at school including a few filipino plays during my elementary years. At the age of 10, my family and I had moved here in the US to seek for a better life and a better future. I am the youngest of four children and I have to say that my siblings and my parents are my driving force and my motivations to keep going in life. I began expressing my thoughts and my feelings through writing at the age of 12. With that I combined the two things that I loved the most, music and poetry. I continue to grow as a writer and as a singer. At the same time I continue to grow as a young woman. I found music as my way of escaping from the stress and reality itself as well as expressing my true feelings and along the way I came to realized that a career in music is the path that I wanted to take. I am simple young woman who lives my life as if it is my last with a soulful mind and thoughts which is where I gained my name Soul Symplicity. Music is the sweetest drug that I have to take on the daily basis and it has helped me get through some tough situations that I had been through in the past. Without it, I wouldn't be who I am today. I am currently living in the sunny California and a high school graduate from Gahr High School. My goals at the moment is to go back in school and study Ultrasound at the same time hoping to finally get my break in the music industy.Your musical influences
When I was growing up I listened to a lot of old school music as well as the new music. I listened to a lot of Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross. I also listened to a lot of TLC, SWV, En Vogue, Destiny's Child, Jagged Edge, Aaliyah. Those are just a few artists that I grew up listening to.
