Name: Jose Lara Artist Name: Mr Loro From: NYC Hobbies: Music Writer Fav. Drink: Bacardi Fav. Song: Hit’Em Up (2 Pac) Fav. Movie: The Longest Yard Influence: Vico C I got the name Loro in My Town in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, because when I use to go to school, I use to be a player; I spoke to every single girl that liked me, in Spanish that means darle cotorra As a kid most of the time I spent listening to playero, The Noise, Da Crew, and old other underground reggae that was played in those days, I use to listened to Vico C, Daddy Yankee, Lito Y Polaco, Ive Queen, Michael y Manuel, Kid Melaza, Falo and much more. I was born In Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, started my career as a Rapper when I was 11 years old, I created a group with my brother and a friend, the group was called Santuario Family. The group disintegrated after my brother’s had passed away. In 2004 I came to the American country for a better life; there is where I finally decide what is it that I really want and is to become a Reggae ton Artist what we call in Spanish Reggaetonero. I met a lot of people in the music industry but they never gave me the opportunity to express the talent that I have and I thought that all I been doing in this time was a waste of time. But it wasn’t too late to star again and show all those people what I really have, I started going to shows that the use to make in the school and there where the people started to look at me in a different way. I have been performing in some locals clubs such as like Copacabana, United palace Theatre, La Guardia College, Exit Night Club, Drama y Foxes and much more. Music is now the number one thing in my life and no one is going to stop me now and never. And all I can say to the young people that has their own dream is to work hard until you get what you want and until you become the most successful person in the world. Thanks to God and to My Brother (RAMY) for given me the strength and opportunity to show people what is the real music and don’t ever forget that is only one family that can be on the top and those are the Latinos.
