Albums
Movin' Target has just released their new CD, UnPegged, which has been in process for almost a year. Fueled mostly by the writing of Jim Wyly
In 2004 Movin' Target won best Americana Band and Best Songwriting at the "Texas Music and Entertainment Awards" in Arlington. Movin' Target has the blend of genres, vocals and new material that will keep your patrons locked in from the first song till the last. The smooth vocals of Mike Arterbury, the flexible and acrobatic vocals of Mark Arterbury, stylistic performances of Jim Wyly and Eddie Penix, some tasteful Fiddlin by John Christian, the somewhat hard edge of Eddie Penix on the bass, the Harp from Riley Hickerson and the creative drum spins of Gerald Lowen, keeps the sounds fresh and interesting through out the evening.
Catch a Ride on the Movin' Target Train.
Movin Target performs in several different formats. You might find Jim Wyly doing a single singer songwriter act, or Jim, Mike and Mark doing a trio or several different acoustic variations, besides the main band performances..

Band/artist history
Mike Arterbury and Jim Wyly have known each other for over 30 years and have singing together for years. About four years ago, they hooked up with his son, Mark, and a friend named Larry Murray and started jamming together. They slowly picked up the other guys; Eddie Penix , John Christian, Riley Hickerson and Gerald Lowen , and Movin Target have been playing together ever since.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, mostly in the Central Texas Area
Your musical influences
All band members are writers and the influences portray a long list of diverse styles, stemming mainly from the late 60s thru early 70s music.
What equipment do you use?
Drums, Guitars, Keyboards, Harp, Fiddle, Bass, Midi Guitar
Anything else?
We really don't know what genre we fit in. Thus the album was named, "UnPegged", for that very reason.
