They play old forgotten songs and give an original touch to the more famous songs. During the long an intensive live shows, they hope to bring guy's like Sonny Boy Williamson, Little Walter, Hound Dog Taylor, Slim Harpo, Willie Dixon to life.
Band/artist history
The story of Mo' Rice starts during a trip to the States (October '01). Guitarplayer Marino Noppe was invited by guitarplayer Johnny Moeler (Austin, Texas). Musicians Guy Verlinde and Stefan Boret joined him on a 14 hour non-smoking flight. During their trip they visited numerous pawnshops looking for old records & musical instruments. And they played a lot of music with e.g. Hash Brown in Dallas (Texas) and Roscoe Chenier in Oppalousas (Louisiana). They also played two nights in a row at the Ground Zero Club in Clarksdale (Mississippi). Back in Belgium the three guy's played more often with each other. And when Guy was looking for musicians to start a new band. It was obvious Marino would play the guitar and Stefan the bass. They got the young drumprodigy Mathieu Verfaillie (ex-Teresa Mallenfant) andlast but not least they got lady Mariella Debille (Cool cat & ex-Mr. Morefun) playin' the mellow saxophone.
