I (moonz) have been an on-again off-again musician for about two-thirds of my life, starting with electric guitar lessons around 1960, and my first drumset about 1971.

I earned a living as a musician/vocalist for about 10 years, playing colleges and clubs in Missouri and Illinois, performing with some of the most popular local bands of the era.

I had already given up the "live" scene by the beginning of the 80's.

I first started experimenting with recording and song-writing in the early 70's.

In 1990 I bught my first PC, equipped it with a good-quality soundcard, and fell in love with the idea of trying to produce great-sounding music with the help of midi-synths and audio software.

Today, many of my compositions are created entirely with software, using virtual instruments and FX.

I haven't played live for a very long time..I just don't feel compelled to do that anymore...I may never do it again...I'd rather have my audience concentrate on my music.

Simply too many artists for me to name...I've been on the planet quite a long time, and I'm still able to find fresh talent that influences me....how about every notable guitarist, drummer, and vocalist in the last 40 years?
