Mobile Sound Unit

Mobile Sound Unit is John McCoy's solo project. What started out as a experimental soundscape project evolved into more beat-oriented territory -- once more equipment was bought. John also plays in Castle Broadway and Field of Sound. All of which are on the Soutrane Record label based in Milwuakee.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
A New Orleans native, John moved to Milwaukee about 5 years ago. He started playing in Castle Broadway (guitar, sound effects, tape loops), but still wanted to do something different. After buying a load of gear, he started to put together more electronic music which is now Mobile Sound Unit.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
John plays live when the chance arises. Currently, Field of Sound is in the recording process, but John is eager to get out and play.
