Mobile Sound Unit is John McCoy's solo project. What started out as a experimental soundscape project evolved into more beat-oriented territory -- once more equipment was bought. John also plays in Castle Broadway and Field of Sound. All of which are on the Soutrane Record label based in Milwuakee.Band/artist history
A New Orleans native, John moved to Milwaukee about 5 years ago. He started playing in Castle Broadway (guitar,sound effects, tape loops), but still wanted to do something different. After buying a load of gear, he started to put together more electronic music which is now Mobile Sound Unit.Have you performed in front of an audience?John plays live when the chance arises. Currently, Field of Sound is in the recording process, but John is eager to get out and play.
