Band/artist history
Lynny: Lynny started playing guitar and singing at 9 yrs. old, switched to the bass in 1982, and in 1994, started fronting for the band called Dacoda. In 1996 the band changed the name to Miss Joshua and opened for such acts as Dokken & Vixen, but disbaned in 2001. Since the band broke up, she has performed onstage with Slaughter, Joe Walsh, Winger among many others. "I love re-living the old days", she laughs, "But the new days are the ones I look forward to!" She is now a writer who has just finished her first novel and lives on a small farm with her husband of 5 years- they call their farm "Medicine Hill". Allen: Allen has been playing guitar for 29 years and despite a handicap of nerve deafness, he wrote the music for all of the Miss Joshua originals. He was known as the "fastest player in the east" in the '90's. He is now a producer, continues to write and record in his digital in-home studio and lives with his girlfriend of 3 years. TJ: TJ joined the band in 1999 and has been playing bass for 10 yrs. Originally from Chicago, he moved to Indiana in 1995. He recently got married and records in his studio at home. The band went through so many drummers, there's no way to name them all! The most worthy to mention was the original drummer for the group, Brent Greco...we sorely missed him after he left. Tracy Pottam ranks up there, too. Though many tried, no one after these two could ever take their place! Why is it so hard to find a drummer???
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We don't have any live shows booked at the moment- the band broke up in 2000, and is enjoying a regrouping right now. Lynny and Allen have continued to write, however. Says Lynny, "Allen's writing style is so diverse, I never know what he will come up with. And this new stuff is just incredible!" But our fav. past gig had to be opening for Dokken in 1996...Lynny had had surgery a few days before the show and split her stitches on stage! ROCK ON!
Your musical influences
We were influenced by ROCK- Led Zepplin, Rush, Van Halen, Slaughter, Journey, so many more bands and too many to name here!
