We are a 3 piece band from Youngstown Ohio.Band/artist history
Mississippi Gun Club was formed in the summer of 2002 when Jeff who used to play bass for War Between One approached Chuck Jackson at a dive bar and convinced him to start a band with him. The idea was formed and they set out to find a drummer who would fit the mold. The idea of Cj Lootless joining the band was brought to the table. He was no stranger to Jeff because he was in several bands with him such as, The Kings of Leisure and 4130. The rehearsal was set, the booze was drank, and the rest is history.Your musical influences

Ahh, my stoner rock masterpiece!!! Jeff had mentioned that at one time there was some interest from Italy about this number. Definitely one of my top five favorites that I've written. Summed up the attitude of the band.-Chuck
I wrote this song as a total rip-off of Queens of the Stone Age. It's not bad to open shows with though.-Chuck
This is the first song that I wrote for the Mississippi Gun Club. I thought of the riff in the shower before one of our practices. Totally inspired by Mad Max. For the middle part, I always pictured that scene when he's exhausted driving around towards the end of the flick just before he gets Johnny the Boy.-Chuck
