MiRU has such an eclectic taste for music, his love for good beats and rythms prevent him from being limited by one genre. In high school, he was an alt rocker, then influenced by what many considered the Golden Age of Pinoy bands and arguably Original Pinoy Music (OPM). Eraserheads and Nirvana are the main influences. Miru was also in to heavy metal like Metallica, Slayer, and Deep Purple. In 1996, MiRU was exiled to Saudi Arabia, and his Saudi-African friends introduced him to Gangsta Rap. Tupac, Dr. Dre, Warren G, Mack 10, Snoop Dogg and other West Coast rappers were par for the course. Up to this day, MiRU still believes he can be a great rapper...
In 1998, at the dawn of the club scene in Manila, MiRU rediscovered electronica. He always had a love for synths and other digital sounds,Contact
