Punk

Minor Catastrophe was a 4 piece political punk rock band from San Jose California. They were formed in 1998 and broke up in 2001 leaving no CDs or Records behind (due to financial problems) other than a song on a San Francisco Bay Area Compilation called "One or Two Good Songs and a Whole lot of Crap" released on Pat Riot Records. And Minor Catastrophe recorded VERY little in their 3 years of existance. If you never caught us live; who knows when we could do a reunion show.
Band/artist history
McJosh and Scabie Dave went to elementrey school together in a city called Mountain View (somewhere in the san jose, san francisco, oakland area) and lived. We met a drummer named Sam who played a few shows with us and recorded our demo with us, and then proceeded to fall off the face of the earth. Then we had Brandon Abhorrance (from the Santa Cruz based band abhorrance)fill in where we needed it. We eventually found a drummer in San Jose named Scott who ended up being our permenent drummer. Then we decided that McJosh should concentrate more on vocals so he put down the guitar and we had many different guitarists after that. the core of the band over the years being McJosh on the Mic, Scabie Dave AKA Davey Disaster on Bass, and Skott Ian Catastrophe on Drums. In summer of 2001 we got back together to play 3 final shows with old guitarist Lenny. Minor Catastrophe played our final show on August 24th 2001 in South San Jose with our brother band Abhorrance (who is still around and rocking hard still)
