Hello, my name is Milan Vymazal. I am a songwriter from the Czech Republic and a member of the International Songwriters Association. The genres I mainly do are classic rock, blues-rock, country-rock and country-pop. I write music only, so I have to collaborate with other people who can write lyrics. Luckily I have found a few good friends and collaborators among Americans living in Olomouc, our regional center. We have already been finalists in our categories in two songwriting contests, Song of the Year (2004) and Unisong (2006).
I also play the keyboard and sing in a band called "Druha smena"(The Other Shift), which is based in Tovacov, my hometown.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, but not often. Two members of our band are busy businessmen, so they have very little time.
Your musical influences
All the great names of the sixties: especially The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, The Who, The Beach Boys... I was also influenced by my father who used to play swing.

Hi Milan, nice job on your songs. You should do your own recordings in your home town, and maybe use the flavor of your home country too. Country music is getting really big in Europe too.
