Mike Mitchell was born in Windfield, Kansas. His love for music began early in his childhood and he has many fond memories of his family passing the guitar during down-home jams.
Mike has been playing music for over sixteen years. He has mastered the acoustic, rhythm and bass guitars. Mike has an extremely powerful voice with the versatility to carry out sweet harmonies.
In the early to mid 1990s Mike toured the tri-state area with the rock band Society playing bass and vocals.
During the summer of 1995, he worked as a bass & acoustic guitarist/vocalist for the Bobby Clark Band. This band was being produced by A&M Records and the Mellencamp family. He also played clubs with Tommy Tutone (Jenny 867-5309) and Jeff Stick Davis of the Amazing Rhythm Aces.
Mikes musical roots, the years of touring and his admiration of his musical influences gave him the desire to become a songwriter. He began developing his songwriting abilities and released a CD Relative with the rock band Nobodys Cousin in 1999. The CD received airplay from local radio stations and also gained the band a special guest spot as the house band on the Jenny Jones show in November, 2000. Nobodys Cousin played clubs in the tri-state area through 2003. Throughout this time, Mike performed solo acoustic shows.
Mike currently resides in Evansville, Indiana with his family and continues to perform solo acoustic shows. He is pursuing his passion for songwriting and is working on recording an original Christmas CD.Have you performed in front of an audience?Currently playing local venues in the Indiana,Ketucky & Illinois area.Either as a solo artist or with a band.
