I am a classical digital musician, creating recordings of piano masterpieces and a composer of classical, new age, meditation music ().
My was a chapel choirmaster and wrote many hymns. Lliving in the same house as my grandparents I found myself composing music from an early age "in my head".
My favourite classical composers are Schubert, Beethoven, Tchaikovsly and Dvorak. In the 1970s I was exposed to Tangerine Dream, Steve Reich, Isao Tomita, then later, new age, electronica, minimalism transformed my musical outlook.
With the rise of PCs, music sequencers, midi and digital audio I have been able to transcribe many of my early classical pieces as well as compose pieces for the new medium.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I am happy for people to listen to my recorded work.
Your musical influences
Schubert, Tchaikovsly, Richard Strauss, minimalism, early Jazz, Steve Reich, trance, happy hardcore,
What equipment do you use?
Reason
Sonar Home Studio

Anything else?
There are really only two types of music:
1. Music to “upliftâ€, to assist meditation or spiritual contemplation (to “chill out†is the modern term).
2. Music to accompany fighting and dancing; rhythmic - to make one’s feet tap, to energize and make you want to move!
I don’t particularly like genres that lack the above qualities. Long live foot-tapping rhythms, uplifting melodies and spine-tingling harmonies.

Hi! I've just recently came across your version of Chopin's Nocturne No.1 and wow, I cannot stop listening to it. You somehow manipulated all those tuplets while maintaining both the rhythm of the right and the left hands...separately. I'm probably not making any sense but I just want you to know it's rare to come across someone who plays so uniquely yet so strictly following the rhythm and the theories of the score. Your version is a breath of fresh air after listening to all the other languid improvisations (they all sound so the same). Beautifully played! I hope you make a youtube account! In the mean time, I will be checking out all your other piano playing.
peace Michael,
enjoyed this little jewel. some foundational sounds that touch the soul from days that carried a little more weight than does this present world. i am sure your grandfather would be well pleased to know of the fruit, from seeds planted in the yesterday years. a pleasure to listen 2wice...
