And thank God he did. As an artist, Asi stands alone, unlike anyone ever before heard or experienced. His vision for hip hop and the future are tied with his love of music and the past.His music takes hip hop across all of the boundaries and genres of music that he loves. What Asi does cannot simply be described with the words “blend” and “fusion”, because he doesn’t takes bits and pieces of things and mix them together, like so many others. He creates his own sound. A sound that makes it impossible to discuss his flow and his stories and his beats separately because they’re all just part of his sound. A sound so real that every hip hop head will nod, every soldier in the struggle will march to, and every music lover will love.
