hunter long, jason smith, mike moellman, plaza noise ensemble, free jazz improvisation, kansas city jazz 2006: The Plaza Noise Ensemble is sax trio (sax, bass and drums). We're very interested in improvisation as well as tightly arranged compositions. For example, we might start a set playing completely free and then go into our arrangement of Glassworks (a piece by Philip Glass).
