Drummer and Engineer for some time. Drums are a set of 2004 Yamaha Birch Custom Absolutes and a 1990's Tama Artstar II with Zildjian/Sabian/Paiste cymbals working in aggressive harmony.
Recording gear is too numerous to list, but consists of tons of discrete transformer based and tube mic pres and DI's with TONS of DIY Gear (Preamps and Compressors), numerous descent mics, a room that keeps getting better, and 48 channels of SSL Alphalnk AD/DA conversion into the DAW. Mixing and monitoring is done mostly ITB for now on Nuendo/Cubase - and (obviously) insanely harsh and brittle due partially to my tinnitus :-(
