INTERVIEW BY CHRIS "MILAN" THOMAS TOUR: Who are some of your musical influences? ClockWise: I listen to the stuff that was from the time I was growing up, like mid-90s hip-hop. A lot of Premier, the I-N-I album, The O.C. albumKanye to a certain extent, Dr. Dre of course. Its a wide array and what happens is, Ill have tracks [that I produce] that sound nothing like another one. TOUR: So, what got you interested in Beat making? ClockWise: My brother got me interested in it. He bought an MPC and he learned how to use it, and of course, little brothers want to be like their older brothers. So, he would mess with it and when he went to the bathroom, I would play with the pads and take the songs that he did and tweak them until they sounded the way I wanted them to sound. He probably dont even know that. TOUR: What are some of your favorite records to sample from? ClockWise: Man, the weird records.
