I am an aging child of the sixties; adolescent in the 70's and forever GR8CATMOM! I LOVE the oldies, especially old rock, folk and even some country-rock. I was in 4th grade when JFK got murdered... I have my own theries...
I remarried 11 years after being a young widow. There is a gr8 deal of happiness and sadness in my life. My two best friends were taken within hours of one another: my first husband, Scott and my soul-sister, Jo-Ann. I was angry for a long time.
I found peace, acceptance and friendship through 12 step support groups; God-willing, I'll have 20 years of recovery in November. I also have God on my side and watching. I believe my intervention was divine with Him, my parents, lots of relatives and Scott & Jo-Ann leading the way!
They are on my mind and in my heart a gr8 deal, these days. I talk and sing to them all, a gr8 deal, and know they're watching over me.
I remarried a gr8 guy: a rare gentleman. He's from Turkey and just became a US citizen January 2008. He has a professional degree, MS.. like myself. He works hard, daily, beginning at 4:00AM and also works his Sunday-off at Jiffy Lube, just because he enjoys it!
I was fortunate to have been both a special education teacher and clinician for substance abusers and MH patients. I am now disabled; in too much chronic pain to work.
I have the smartest cat alive! Xena taunts, teases and delights us. She is tottaly black and "talks" to us, making us know what she wants.
