I'm a civil engineer in California whose passion for music cannot easily be satiated. I love the Lord and am using the gifts He has given me to share with others. I graduated from West Point in 1990 and am preparing to take my structural engineering exam in addition to teaching myself orchestration on the side.

Long ago, everything used to have an 'off' button. If the device or application you frequently use does not have an 'off'button, or one that can easily be found, what did the design engineer have in mind when he or she made the conscious decision to do that?
