Nolo Ali was born to Colombian and Ecuadorian parents in Astoria,Queens. An 80s baby, he grew up in the predominantly Latino section of East Elmhurst where his friendship developed with his partner in rhyme Ed Da Don(the other half of rap duo- Queens Cartel) at a local Art based Charter High school.
They reunited in 2008 at Riviera Gentlemen's club in Queens, via their long time friend DJ Kizzy.
Since then, they have formed a unique delivery of lyrical dopeness- QUEENS CARTEL. "The name represents dopeness. A cartel is an agreement between competing firms for monetary gains. Emcees are always in some type of friendly competition, but we come together towards a common goal-that being making money and music "-Nolo Ali.
After dropping their first underground mixtape Saran Raps Vol.1 online via Dat Piff and Soundcloud, they caught the ear of Recording Artist/Music Producer & CEO (Aigne Music Group) Island Def Jam Digital/Aigne Music Group- Mikey Jay, confirming to them that they are onto something special.
