74Righteous credits his love of music to his late great grandfather, JR. He found that he had a passion for music with lyrics that meant something. He had this realization after hearing Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G rap.
Much like the gospel music his grandfather loved, he heard messages that he liked; the two artists' personas also allured him because they looked like the people around him outside of the church.
Much like his favorite producers and rappers, kanye west, j cole, drake Righteous74 found a way to record his music. He first recorded at his good friend JAYs house, then eventually he started recording himself.. always having .a connection to instrumentation with no skill full training lead to creating his beats.
His music catalog depicts some of the grimmest situations into beautiful ballads that can be enjoyed by smokers and supreme hustlers.
